CTAR Offers Hurricane Relief Funds

The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR) and the South Carolina Realtors® (SCR) have partnered with the Realtors® Relief Foundation (RRF) and the state associations in Georgia and North Carolina to enter into a joint cooperative that will provide relief to victims of Hurricane Matthew. The foundation is providing mortgage or rent relief up to $1,000 to those who qualify.

Recipient must be a full-time resident and U.S. citizen or legally admitted for residence in the United States. The property must be your primary residence and must be in a designated disaster area.

Applicants must complete the applications entirely (including all required documentation). Partial or incomplete applications will be disqualified and not considered for funding.

The following documents are required to show proof of damage to your primary residence and must be submitted with your application:
• Proof of Residency (e.g. copy of your driver’s license or other governmental documentation evidencing residency.
• Your last mortgage statement or payment coupon. If renting temporary housing, please include a copy of your current monthly rent statement or lease.
• Photos of Damages
• Insurance Estimate
• Copies of Repair Estimates from Contractors.

There are limited funds and applications will be processed on a first come basis.
