2011 REALTORS® Care Week Recap
Volunteer REALTORS® from the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® kicked off the holiday season with a week of giving back to their community. More than 200 local REALTORS®  participated in the second annual Charleston REALTORS® Care Week, which took place November 14-18, 2011.

REALTORS® worked with East Cooper Meals on Wheels to package and deliver more than 350 meals to homebound residents of Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms and Cainhoy. Participants in the Reading with REALTORS® program visited the College of Charleston with students from James Simons Elementary. The visit was designed to engage the students in a college environment and encourage them to begin taking the steps toward a college education now.

150 REALTORS® celebrated their week of philanthropy with an Oyster Roast and Chili Cook-Off on Thursday evening, with 100% of the proceeds from this event benefitting RHOF.

The week culminated with a Build Day with Charleston Habitat for Humanity, renovating the downtown home of Sandra Miller, whose property was in severe disrepair, with holes in the walls and a simple tarp covering the roof. RHOF donated $1,000 through Habitat to support the project.
