MLS Membership
The mission of the Charleston Trident Multiple Listing Service (CTMLS) is to provide cost effective, state-of-the-art business solutions and information to its subscribers while facilitating cooperation and compensation among participants.
The CTMLS is owned and operated by the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® (CTAR). It is the most comprehensive and active database of property in the Charleston area.
For Agents Seeking MLS Access
(if your brokerage is already an MLS participant):
Step 1: Complete the Welcome to the MLS class
This class will give you the tools to search and input listings in the MLS system. All agents/assistants/appraisers are required to take this class before using the MLS. At the end of the course, you will receive your username and password to access the MLS.

Step 2: Complete the SmartCard Class (if applicable)
If you will be using a lockbox, this class will teach you how to use the Sentrilock Lockbox system. This SmartCard will allow agents to list and show property using the Sentrilock Lockbox System.
Bring your SmartCard lease, signed by you and your BIC, with you to the class along with the $125 card leasing fee to obtain your card after the training.

For Principal REALTORS® or Brokers seeking MLS Access
Step 1: Complete your application.
Please note that only the Principal REALTOR® or broker of a firm may apply for residential MLS membership.
Step 2: Pay the initiation fee
Initiation fees for residential access is $1,000. The initiation fee is separate from quarterly MLS dues, which are $105 per quarter.
Step 3: Complete the Basic MLS Class
This class will give you the tools to search and input listings in the residential MLS system. All agents/assistants/appraisers are required to take this class before using the MLS. At the end of the course, you will receive your username and password to access the residential MLS.

Step 4: Complete the SmartCard Class (if applicable)
