CTAR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee

The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR) is dedicated to embracing and enhancing a culture where all Charleston Realtors® feel like they have a seat at the table, a voice in the conversation, and confidence that their voice that will be heard. We are committed to having a membership culture where everyone feels safe and respected as both a professional and an individual.

In April 2021, the Board of Directors voted to make the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion group a standing committee, open to all members. If you’re interested in joining, please email Kravonda.

Below, you’ll find a recap of the work done by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce prior to the establishment of the full standing committee that is open to ALL Charleston Realtor members!


The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion taskforce worked collaboratively to develop a culture statement for CTAR that represents acceptance and inclusion and promotes the belief that everyone has a voice that should be heard, regardless of demographics.

The work of the taskforce and future committee is key to ensuring that all Charleston Realtors® know that they have a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation.


The taskforce was led by Chair, Stephen Kohn, Shakeima Chatman serving as vice chair and Jon Stroud as the liaison to the Board of Directors. The taskforce members were: Elaine Brabham, Leslie Howard, Josh Jones, Kisha Lyles, Corwyn Melette, Chanice Reid, Georgia Richard, Kevin Shaw, Felicia Smalls, Nia Swinton-Jenkins, and Sue Weller, with Josh Dix, Arthur Takeall, and Meghan Weinreich serving as staff liaisons.
