We are looking for a diverse group of leaders for our 2024 Association Board of Directors! The deadline to apply is August 18, 2023.

Information about CTAR Board Positions


Please review the responsibilities of Directors prior to applying.

Responsibilities of CTAR Directors:

• Represent the Association and the Realtor brand well at all times

• Strictly adhere to the Realtor Code of Ethics and SC Real Estate Laws

• Directors are expected to invest in RPAC and contribute to RHOF

• Directors may be asked to serve on and lead task forces or initiatives as identified

• Directors are expected to participate in the following meetings and events (and possibly others as they are scheduled):

– Monthly Board Meetings (3rd Wednesday of the month; 10-11:30 am)

– Major Association Events (ex. Residential Market Update, Summer Conference)

– Legislative Reception

– Board Installation (December)

– Leadership Training (January)

– Strategic Planning (June/July)

– Annual Professional Standards Training (January or February)

Directors are also encouraged to attend the NAR Mid­year Legislative Meetings (May), the SCR Annual Conference (September), and the NAR Annual Conference (November)

• As a local director, you may be asked to serve as a state director. If you agree to this appointment, you will be expected to attend both yearly SCR Director’s Meetings (the leadership conference March or April and annual convention September) and other SCR events

Dave Sansom | President
CFO, Carolina One Real Estate

Dave Sansom served as President-Elect in 2016. He served for several years on the MLS Board of Directors, including a term as President in 2013. He worked in the industry as an agent for 8 years before being named Broker-in-Charge of Carolina One Real Estate’s Coleman Boulevard office. Dave now serves as the CFO/COO for Carolina One Real Estate. He resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife and three children.

Broker Associate, Century 21 Properties Plus

Kimberly served as the VP of Administration in 2016. Kimberly has been involved with the Association on the grievance panel, the Leadership Development program and Professional Standards. She has been in real estate for 16 years and is currently working for Century 21 Properties Plus. Kimberly lives on James Island with her husband and enjoys cooking, paddle boarding, boating and traveling.

Broker Associate, Daniel Island Real Estate

Angie served as the VP of Finance in 2016. She also previously served on the CTAR Board of Directors from 2009-14 as well as the SCR Board of Directors and the Chamber of Commerce Economic Outlook Board of Directors. Angie currently sits on the City of Charleston Planning Commission and works for Daniel Island Real Estate, and resides on Daniel Island with her husband and three children.

Edward has served on the CTAR board since 2014. Edward has been on the CTAR Legislative Committee and currently serves on the Strategic Thinking Group and as the CTAR Representative to the Sea Grant’s Stormwater Pond Advisory Council. He began his real estate career with Four Corners Real Estate and then founded Oswald Cooke & Associates, LLC, in 2010, where he is the Broker-in-charge. Edward lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife and two children and enjoys coaching t-ball, soccer, golfing and boating.

Broker Owner, Sweetgrass Realty Group

2017 will be Katesha’s inaugural term as a CTAR Director. She has served as Chair of Reading with Realtors, Broker Council and currently serves on CTAR and SCR Grievance Committee. Katesha has practiced real estate for nearly 18 years and is Broker/Owner of Sweetgrass Realty Group. Katesha is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and enjoys coordinating for Feed the Need and traveling with her two daughters.

Broker In Charge, William Means Real Estate

2017 will be Drew’s inaugural term as a CTAR Director. He is the Director of Sales and East Cooper Broker-In-Charge for William Means Real Estate. Drew graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Accounting and received a Master’s degree from Western Illinois University. He resides in Mt. Pleasant.

Co-Owner, The Guerry Group

2017 will be Jody’s inaugural term as a CTAR Director. He served on the MLS board from 1999 to 2002 and as chair of Grievance in 2010. He began his 33 year career in real estate when he joined his father, LeGrand Guerry, to train as an appraiser in 1983. Together they formed Appraisal Associates of Charleston, which is now known as The Guerry Group. Jody has been married to his high school sweetheart, Catherine, for 34 years and they have two daughters.


The 2016 Nominating Committee announced their recommendations for the 2017 CTAR leadership positions in August. One candidate was selected for each vacancy, and were elected by acclamation since no additional candidates were submitted.

Matthew DeAntonio | 2015 President
Broker Associate, Carroll Realty
Matt DeAntonio will serve as the 2015 President. He is a native of Charleston and began his real estate career in 2003.  He is a Realtor of Distinction and is working toward a CCIM designation.  Matt has been involved with CTAR and SCR throughout his career on various committees such as Professional Standards, Finance and the Realtors Housing Opportunities Fund (RHOF).  He earned his degree from the University of South Carolina and resides on the Isle of Palms with his wife Cindy.

 

 

 

Michael Sally | President-Elect
Broker-in-Charge, Pathway Real Estate Group
Michael Sally will serve as the President-Elect. Michael is a Hanahan native where he has served as Chairman for the City of Hanahan Planning Commission for 3 years, was elected to Hanahan City Council in 2010 and served as Mayor Pro Tem. Michael is also the NAR Federal Political Coordinator for Senator Tim Scott and served as Legislative Group Chairman at CTAR. Michael married his high school sweetheart and they live in Hanahan with their 3 children where they enjoy spending family time outdoors backpacking, boating, camping, hunting and fishing.

 

 

Dave Sansom | Vice President of Administration
CFO, Carolina One
Dave Sansom will serve as the Vice President of Administration. Dave Sansom grew up in Western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. He and his wife Nancy moved to Charleston in 2000 and he has been in residential real estate since late 2000. Dave sold real estate for eight years before being named Broker-in-Charge of Carolina One Real Estate’s Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant in mid 2008 and was recently promoted to CFO/COO. Dave also served several years on the MLS Board of Directors, most recently as MLS President. Dave and Nancy have three children and live in Mount Pleasant.

 

 

 

Kimberly Lease | Vice President of Finance
Broker Associate, Century 21 Properties Plus
Kimberly has been in real estate for 15 years and has served CTAR in Grievance, Leadership Development and Professional Standards and is a recipient of the REALTOR® of Distinction award.  She is a graduate of Clemson University, an experienced Corporate Relocation Agent and is NAR certified in Mediation. She currently lives on James Island with her husband and enjoys cooking, paddle boarding, boating and traveling.

 

 

 

Bobette Fisher | 2015 Director
Agent, Carolina One
Bobette Fisher is originally from Elkhart, Indiana, although she became a southerner 29 years ago. During her 12 years in Real Estate, Bobette has served on several national committees with The Council of Residential Specialist and most recently served as President of the South Carolina CRS Chapter. She and her family relocated to Charleston in 2000. Bobette is married to Steven Fisher and they have two children, Andrew and Stephani.

 

 

 

 

Cary Collins | 2015 Director
Agent, Prudential Southern Coast 
Cary is a Summerville native where he has served on the Dorchester County SPCA Board of Directors,  currently serves as the Treasurer for the Summerville Masonic Lodge and enjoys officiating high school football and basketball.  Raised in a real estate family, Cary was ready to join the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® immediately following his graduation from the University of South Carolina to start his career.  He firmly believes in the power of home ownership and has enjoyed 11 years in the industry so far. Cary still resides in Summerville with his wife and two sons.

 

 

Louise Voelker | 2015 Director
Broker-in-Charge, Carolina One Goose Creek
Louise is originally from Boston, Massachusetts but has called Charleston home since 1993.  She has been in real estate for 19 years and is currently the Broker in Charge for Carolina One in Goose Creek. Louise lives on Daniel Island with her husband, Ed, where they enjoy hiking, boating and scuba diving.
